Bountiful was the second settlement in Utah, following Salt Lake City. Due to its pioneer heritage in the LDS church, the city still celebrates its Mormon roots. Each year, Bountiful residents look forward to coming together as a community to celebrate their history at the annual Handcart Days celebration, which is held in conjunction with the state’s official holiday, Pioneer Day.
